July 4th Fireworks Paddle Event

The distance from EpicSUP dock to the best and closest fireworks site (just past Congress bridge) is just under 2 miles. This is a 4 mile round trip. Note: you will be able to fully view the fireworks after 1 mile. 

You are responsible for paddling yourself there and back. There is plenty of time to enjoy your paddle. We highly suggest staying out of the middle of the river and closer to the far right edge going towards downtown and on the way back. 

All firework rentals will launch between 7:15 and 8:30 PM and MUST be back to the dock no later than 11:30 PM

• 6:00 PM - Normal rentals stop renting
• 7:00 PM - Check-in (welcome to arrive earlier)
• 7:15 PM - Able to get on the water
• 8:15 PM - Check in ends/waitlist opens
• 8:30 PM - Waitlist and rentals close / Austin Symphony Music Starts (Any reservations checking in after 8:30 PM will be canceled and not refunded due to time constraints)
• 9:30 PM - Firework show starts (fireworks show will take place around ~9:30 to 10:00 PM. near the Vic Mathias Shores/Auditorium Shores)
• 10:00 PM - Fireworks show ends
• 11-11:30 PM - Return to the dock 

*Note:  if the boat is returned after 11:45 PM on July 4th, 2025, you will be charged a $50.00 late fee per person. This does not apply if inclement weather - be safe and take your time. Remember, you are responsible for paddling yourself back.

Please bring a valid matching ID to your booking with you to the event. In a group? We only need one valid matching ID for the entire group. We will hold on to the ID during the event and return it when your entire group is back. 

All paddlers must complete our rental waiver upon arrival or in advance.

• If you are in a group, only one person needs to fill out section 1 of the waiver and every one else may sign and print their name at the bottom lines. We MUST be able to read your printed name.

• Welcome to bring any bags/cooler for snacks, drinks, lights, and festive decor. Absolutely no glass bottles, weapons, and paraphernalia allowed.

We have a small shared lot and plenty of street parking. We recommend to car pool, rideshare, or bike if possible as spaces go fast. Welcome to arrive early and hang around until check in. 

It is recommended that you wear a life jacket while paddle boarding, especially if you are not a strong swimmer. Experience is required for paddleboards.

• There will be no refunds due to weather or any event cancellations by the City of Austin. 
• Boats that are not checked in by 8:15 PM will be released without refund. 
• You may make changes to your ticket up to 24 hours prior to event.
